Questions Before Purchasing Wright Mowers

What Should I Do?

Are you looking at a Wright mower to power your business but you're not quite sure if it's right for you? Shopping is a critical process anytime you make a large investment to up your game. Before Wright Manufacturing made mowers, we were a lawn maintenance company, so we know how critical it is to select the right tool for the job. First, visit your local dealer and take a look at our different mower options. A good relationship with your local dealer will be important to you over the life of your mower. You may also want to research your commercial mowing equipment options before you go to a dealer, and thankfully, we have some resources for you.

If you're new to our lineup and you're not sure which mower is best for your needs, here are a few pointers:

Decide whether you need a fixed deck or a floating deck.

A fixed deck mower is rock-solid and has very few moving parts or maintenance. You won't want to change cut heights very often, which is okay for many parts of the country and types of lawns, but is something to consider when selecting a mower. A floating deck means you can quickly lift and lower the deck and it's less likely to scalp the lawn, but they cost a little bit more.

Decide whether you want to stand or sit when mowing.

Wright is known for its stand-on mowers. There are many benefits to standing while mowing, but it's ultimately a personal choice. If standing is not for you, or you need to run especially light mowers, then you may want to look at our walk behinds. Do yourself a favor and also buy a Velke Sulky so you don't wear yourself out. All our walk behinds have an integrated latch in the instrument panel to make it easy to stow and drop the Velke. We also have sit-down, zero turn mowers.

You will also need to figure out if you need a small-, medium-, or large- sized mower.

Wright has a wide range of mower sizes to fit the demands of your customers' lawns. View our line of mowers to find the deck size to get the job done.

Your company is unique and what's on other people's trailers may or may not be best for you. Reflect on your business, your workflow and your properties when selecting a mower and you'll find a great option. My final advice is that we almost always do business with those we trust. Your clients must trust you to give you access to their backyards every week. In the same way, you should be able to trust that your dealer will take care of you and keep you going. Thanks for shopping our mowers. It's my hope that you will join our pursuit of the better mower. Reach out to us and we'd be glad to answer any questions you may have.
