Wright Mower and Accessory Warranty Information

Warranty Statement Explained

Most Wright mowers are warranted for manufacturing defects for 2 years/unlimited hours or 5 years/500 hours. The exceptions are the Stander B models, which are warranted for 1 year/unlimited hours or 3 years/500 hours and 90 days for rental use. Some mowers have additional BtB (bumper-to-bumper) coverage for wear-and-tear in addition to the warranty for the first year, such as the ZXT models.

Does Wright offer a Warranty for Used Mowers?

The machine warranty is transferable to a second owner. No action is required if the mower has an original sale date in our system and you provide updated owner information in the event your dealer files a claim. You may send us your serial number and contact information and we will update the registration record. Warranty claims for secondary owners are very uncommon because, in most cases, a defect would have been discovered by the first owner. You can check the age of your mower, and the date it was sold by searching the serial number in the parts system found here: parts.wrightmfg.com

Engine Warranty

The engine is separately warranted by the engine manufacturer, which can vary by model, but in most cases is 3 years.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty is for manufacturing defects and does not cover wear and tear, long-term deterioration, flood, fire, transportation, or loaners. To have your machine serviced, bring it to your original servicing dealer—while other dealers may service your machine, we recommend you always buy the mower from the same dealer you plan to service your machine.

OEM Parts are recommended

We always recommend the use of OEM parts, most especially oil and filters because their quality is critical to protecting costly components. If you choose to use non-OEM parts, this generally does not void your overall warranty on unrelated parts of the mower but could void the warranty for related systems.

Accessories

OEM accessories are warranted for the same period as the mower on which they are installed. For example, if a rider has a new power bagger installed on it, the bagger is covered for the period the machine is warranted, regardless of when the accessory was installed. If a new accessory is installed on an out-of-warranty machine, the accessory is warranted for 90 days per our service parts warranty. Velke and Gobblers are excluded and warranted individually.

The Warranty does not cover WMI power equipment that has been altered or modified changing performance or durability. In addition, the Warranty does not extend to repairs made necessary by normal wear, or by the use of parts or accessories which, in the reasonable judgment of WMI, are either incompatible with the Mower or adversely affect its operation, performance or durability.

WMI reserves the right to change or improve the design of any WMI power equipment without assuming any obligation to modify any WMI power equipment previously manufactured.

All other implied warranties are limited in duration to the applicable one (1) year or two (2) year warranty period or ninety (90) days for units used for rental purposes. Accordingly, any such implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise, are disclaimed in their entirety after the expiration for the appropriate one (1) year, two (2) year, or ninety (90) day warranty period.

WMI’s obligation under this Warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts and WMI does not assume, or authorize anyone to assume for them, any other obligation. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply.

WMI assumes no responsibility for incidental, consequential or other damages including, but not limited to, expense for gasoline, expense of delivering the Mower to an Authorized WMI Service Dealer and expense of returning it to the Owner, damage by fire, mechanic’s travel time, telephone charges, rental of a like product during the time warranty repairs are being performed, travel, loss or damage to personal property, loss of revenue, loss of use of the Mower, loss of time or inconvenience. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This Warranty applies to all WMI power equipment retailed and located in the United States of America and Canada.

*Non-Commercial: Mower is used only on one home lot. Use at multiple locations is considered commercial use and the commercial warranty would apply.
